Recruitment can be a stressful time. Here are a few tips from us to help you out!
1. Be comfortable
Choose clothes and shoes that you are comfortable in, both literally and figuratively. You will be running from house to house every day, so you don't want to wear shoes that hurt your feet. Choosing outfits can be stressful, but try to stick to your gut and wear clothes that represent you. You don't have to try to wear things that you think a "typical sorority girl" would wear. We want to get to know your true self!
2. Bring an umbrella!
Kentucky weather can be unpredictable. Almost every year, it rains for at least one day of recruitment. Come prepared!
3. Bring a notebook and pencil
After a few rounds, houses can start to blend together. It can be helpful to jot down anything you remember about a house between rounds!
4. Make a "survival kit"
During recruitment, you will be out of your dorm for long hours. It may be helpful to pack your purse with a few "emergency" essentials like tissues, Advil, bandaids, mints, chapstick, etc.
5. Be your true self!
You don't have to try and be someone you're not. Sororities are based on common values, ideals, and morals. Be your real self with us and we will be real with you! There is a place for everyone. If you are your true self during recruitment, you will find a sorority that is your perfect fit
